Our cryopreservation kit allows you to preserve your fertility without the need of an in office visit. This is ideal for people who do not live close to an andrology lab, have a busy schedule, are receiving in hospital treatments or feel more comfortable providing semen samples from home. The process is fast, reliable and safe and the sperm that is frozen can be used right away or stored long term. In fact, our facility has successfully maintained frozen sperm in storage since 1982.
How It Works
Once you place your order, we will send you a kit ASAP. After you collect your sample, it will be sent to our lab via priority next day air, where our skilled and experienced andrology team will be ready to receive it. An initial semen analysis will be performed, followed by an informational telephone consultation. A technician will provide you with information about your sample's sperm concentration and motility. They will also go through cryopreservation options with you (all included with your cryopreservation kit purchase). You will be able to ask questions and get recommendations based on your initial results.
Your sample is frozen the same day we receive it and a test thaw is performed 2-5 days later to provide accurate data on cryopreservation success (how your sperm "wake up" from cryopreservation). A final clinical freeze report will be provided as well as a consolation with a lab supervisor via telephone. You again will be given the opportunity to ask questions and receive recommendations.
